Wiesviller is a town of 989 inhabitants located 11 km east of Sarreguemines.
The town is crossed by the RD 110 h and by a small tributary stream of the Saar: the Schwartzbach.
The territory of the commune is quite hilly but relatively sparsely wooded.
The inhabitants of Wiesviller are called Wiesvillerois.
The town has many advantages:
The Church of Saint Barthélemy was built in 1832 on the site of the old church of 1735, which had become too small for the parishioners of Wiesviller and Woelfling. The furniture dating from 1740 which was located in the old church has been transferred to the new one. It is now listed in the inventory of historic movable objects.
The cave and the statue of Christ the King are two monuments due to Abbot Alphonse Heollinger. He had the cave located between Wiesviller and Woelfling built in 1939 and had the statue of Christ the King built in 1950 overlooking the two villages to protect them.
The Calvary located at the corner of the rue des Moulins and the rue de la Chapelle was built in the XNUMXth century by Jean Martesteck, sculptor cabinetmaker of the church furniture.
