It is in the heart of the city centre, in the “Carré Louvain” shopping mall, that the Sarreguemines Confluences community media library offers users its collections and services.
From comic books to novels, via CDs, DVDs, documentaries or even magazines, the public can borrow or consult numerous works on site. The Media Library has developed specific collections in languages, particularly in the regional language, Frankish / Platt.
Added to this is access to the Internet and office software, the possibility of settling into workspaces equipped with WIFI, but also a whole range of activities, both regular and occasional.
The Media Library is part of the public reading network of the Sarreguemines Confluences Agglomeration Community, made up of 14 local libraries.
Subscribers have the option of downloading digital books from the Media Library website. This service, included in the subscription, allows you to borrow digital books remotely and download them on different media: tablets, e-readers (except Kindle), smartphone or computer.
If a user does not have a reading medium, the Media Library provides readers pre-loaded with a wide range of books (more than 190). It is also possible to have the documents listed in the catalog uploaded on request.
Users with reduced mobility can benefit from this service and bring all kinds of documents (books, magazines, read texts, CDs, DVDs).
At each visit by a librarian, by appointment, the previous documents are taken up and new titles are deposited. This service is free.
Subscribers have the ability to access online journals and newspapers from home. L'auto-journal, Current Woman, Detours in France, Marianne, So Foot, Liberation, Closer, Paris Match...
There is something for all tastes and all ages, including for children with Mon Quotidien for example. To access it, nothing could be simpler: all you have to do is identify yourself on the home page of the Media Library site and type the title of the journal into the site's search engine.
The Media Library has a Video Games area, open on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons, where fans can meet up to play games together on different consoles. The Media Library also offers the loan of video games.
With this new service, it is possible to borrow up to 2 video games for a period of one month. To do this, simply consult the list of video games available on the Media Library website, reserve those that interest you and come and collect them after receiving the confirmation email or SMS.
A reciprocity agreement allows subscribers to the Media Library to benefit from free registration to the University Library – Holderith Center located at the Pôle Ecole, Place Jeanne d'Arc in Sarreguemines.
It gives access to documents in law, management and education, as well as to all the resources of the network of libraries of the University of Lorraine, thanks to the reservation system and the routing of documents between the sites.
The Mediatheque conducts cooperation projects with Germany. Thus, any user registered with the Mediatheque can register for free with the Saarbrücken library, under reciprocal agreements between the two communities.
In addition, the Media Library is involved in the cross-border bookmobile project which serves many schools in Moselle and Sarre to help people discover the language and culture of their neighbour.
NuMos offers you more than 100 books, films, magazines, newspapers, music albums, video games, courses (languages, IT, music, academic support, yoga, etc.) accessible free of charge, 000 days a week and 7 hours a day from a computer, tablet, smartphone, for all audiences.
To register and benefit from these services, you simply need to be registered in one of the 153 partner libraries in the network, in this case the Media Library, and complete the online form.
The subscription is valid in all the libraries of the network.
